Antenova Ltd, manufacturer of antennas and RF antenna modules for M2M and the Internet of Things, announces the appointment of Robert Dumont. Robert joins the company as Regional Sales Manager from the 1st of October and will be responsible for territories in North America and Canada.

This is Antenova’s second senior appointment in America in the last two months. It follows directly after the company revealed that Norm Smith had joined Antenova as Vice President, North America, in September.

Also in September, Antenova took possession of new premises in Santa Rosa, California. The building houses an RF laboratory and test equipment which the company uses to provide antenna testing services and local technical support to its growing base of American customers.

Robert Dumont has 25 years of sales and business development experience in Wireless, RF, GPS and Satcom markets, and a track record of forging customer relationships as well as working with representative and distribution channels. His new role with Antenova will encompass working with end customers, manufacturers’ representatives and distributors to promote the sales of Antenova’s embedded antennas, RF antenna modules and related RF design and support services.

Says Colin Newman, Managing Director at Antenova:

“We see significant potential for growth in the Americas, particularly in the fast growing markets of M2M and the Internet of Things. Robert Dumont has the ideal background and experience to drive our expansion in the USA, and we are planning further additions to the team later this year.”

Industry analysts predict rapid growth in the M2M market as enterprises adopt Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things, and consumers increasingly rely on smart devices and social media. Gartner recently predicted that Smart Cities will use 1.1 Billion connected devices in 2015 and that this could rise to 9.7 Billion by 2020.
